So I am after a trailer around the 7'x4', also wanting a cage for it.
Just looking at what is out there or any recommendations to have one built for a good price here in the mighty Manawatu.
Cheers

Hi Not in P North but had one made by Burkhart farm Machinery in Lepperton, New Plymouth bloody good trailer well made check them out.
Just don't buy one of those horrible bolt together Chinese ones that're all over the place now, absoloute rubbish.
Has anyone had dealings with "Trayla" trailers in Levin? or "Kings" trailers in Wanganui?

we got a trayla single axel and so far so good good price also got a foxton that seems a bit cheaply made and we towed it with a van for about 30000kms a few things wore on it but was ok but don't think I would get one again . but our briford did well over 100000kms and only needed wheelberings so I guess you get what you pay for. but dave hobbs (trayla) would be a go and can make any size you like
Thanks Dale. Will have to pop in tomorrow and have a chat to Dave. How does your trayla compare with the briford?

I would say it's built strong but ground the number plate holder on the rear is hung low and we have bent it towing it getting wood. Would be better on the wheel arch. But we haven't pulled it as much as the others but it seems nice
yeah just the number holder bent out of shape. sorry my phone auto corrects
Hmm, decisions....

I got me a 7x4 briford built about 5 or 6 years back............may have been 7 cant remember.......anyhow I paid 1590 for registered on road etc....looking back should have ordered a cage a spare wheel and a flat plate across the drawbar so as to mount a tool box or towball for bike rack....gonna get round to all them things one day as well as lengthening the drawbar cause its way too short and a prick to back.....longer is better........as for build quality I cant fault it.....does what I want it to......mrs says I gotta get off my ass and finish the cage cause the mdf fucker its had on for last 2 years is getting munted.............good luck with ur search........briford in my mind are value for money

So decided to get a 7'x4'6". Brent Smith came back at $2730! I know there a good trailer but that much? Ruled Trayla trailers out as a few people have since warned me off them. A place down in wellington called "trailer Centre" (Tailux) have come back at $2400 a seem to be a great build... Any one heard of these guys?
