WTB Heavy-duty tyre chains to fit 16" 265/70s. Ice-breaker type

If you have a set of the above chains that are no longer needed - PM me. (to fit LandCruiser so the 'easy-fit' type are too light for serious use)
    thanks

I got mine from a crew who import second hand buses from japan. Heavy duty and if you strike the right guy a box of beer might do the deal.

I got myself an un-used set off another ex 4WD owner. So all sorted!

The icebreakers are the only way to go. Just make sure they're snug fitting and take some bungy cord to take up the slack. No good on roads without snow on them, very rough, cos they're so chunky.

I have a full set for my landcruiser I use during the winter when I have big planting jobs on and are towing trailers around steep slippery country in Southland.

Lock my diffs up, 2nd gear low box, point the nose where I want to go and bury the foot

totally agree JoshC - the other 'must have' is a collection of short, but fairly heavy er (lost the word) - those plastic ratchety strap thingies. Fantastic for tying off any loose chain links

2 sets of chains beats a separate set of mudders - and waaay cheaper

If you've gotta get that serious it's pub time.
