    wtb powder dispenser

Im sick of the lee disk powder dispenser as i have to manually check every load its so unreliable. Would like a standard micrometer adjustable type like the hornady lock and load. Cheers

It will be your method of throwing that is inconsistent. Mine will throw within .1 on a 30 grain load if I throw them consistently.

Any idea why its all over the place? I think i might try close the gap between the disks and the dispenser a touch but thats all i can think of.

I have an old RCBS Uniflow so cannot comment on yours. Mine is quite accurate on fine grain powders like BR2, VVN140 and not so good on powders like IMR3031 which it tends to chop kernels on and then usually gives an over weight. They rely on repeatability of technique. It is almost hard to describe - mine makes a distinctive clunk when I operate the handle back down to refill the metering chamber. I also made a baffle for mine to go in the bottom of the powder bottle to give more constant flow and "weight" into the chamber.

If you operate the lever aggressively the powder can pack in the measure. Operate it carefully and it doesn't pack as tight. Use consistent strokes of the handle and you should get consistent loads.
