WTB Reloder 26 RL26 powder so I can try it out in my 270

Anyone have any RL26 powder that I can buy? I want to test whether RL26 is the powder I need for 150gn projectiles. Apparently RL26 with 150gn projectiles delivers the same velocity as hot 130gn loads achieve.

I'm happy to consider a subset of a container, I need 80grams so I can test load 20 rounds with up to 61 grains per load .... then I'll know whether I need to hang out for a RL26 shipment, or just load my 150s with AR2209....

As above ^^^ Superperformance or even 4831SC might be an easier powder to acquire than RL26.
There is a good thread on here with 270 loads if you do a search

If you are after more speed, Superformance will do better than AR 2213 SC with heavier bullets . I load it in my 270 with 145 gr ELDX bullets for around 3100 fps whereas I could only get around 2800 fps with 150 gr Noslar Partitions using 2213 SC.

That's good information, they sit right next to each other on the burnrate chart, assuming 4831SC and 2213SC do work the same or simular.

    That's a cracking load @Mooseman
    What is your barrel length?
    Rl22 could be another option

My rifle is a standard Tikka with a22 inch barrel. According to my load notes R22 with 56 grs and the 150 gr Partition only gave 2784 fps AV , not sure what Max is without checking the manuals. 60 grs of R 22 gave 3060 fps with the 130 gr Partition.

I have heard that RL26 is good in the 270 but is hard to come by at the moment

I have a 22" barrel Tikka and 60gr of reloder 26 gives me 2980 fps with 140gr projectiles. Any hotter and the groups just started opening up.
Tried several loads with the 150gr nosler lrab but it just wouldn't shoot. Certainly is a good powder for 270, gives a fair bit more velocity over adi powder. I think superformance is just as good if not better in some applications, maybe a tad less resistant to temperature.

They are the same powder but nothing like RE26.
2213sc will give lower velocity but also lower pressure.

Superformance can go great in some chamberings but beware the batch variation.....I had to drop 2 full grains from one batch to the next in my 30-284

That's one great thing with adi powders, very little batch variation if any.

Haven't yet used enough rl26 to know if it is an issue with it.

Yes I realize that, I'm using RL26 in other calibers. Was throwing out some other options that will get the job done and might actually be able to buy some of due to lack of supply. Super Performance would be my pick, I'm not sure RL26 would even go much better in 270? It seems to shine above others in the steeper shouldered overbore type of modern design cartridges.
Not much point developing loads in powder that you haven't got a decent supply of, and won't be for sometime. (some 6.5 PRCer's would cry you putting down a 270 ha ha!)
