WTB: Scope 3-9 or above for <$300

    Hey guys,
Looking for an interim scope to chuck on my rifle for some upcoming trips. Looking for obviously best value/brand I can get in that price range of a vari-power scope. If anyone is thinking of getting rid of one or got one laying around let me know, higher magnification the better.
    Leupold, Burris, bushnell, vortex, weaver.

Good luck mate, that's not much of a budget for what you are asking.

You are pushing it a bit with that budget. If no one on the forum has anything suitable then you could get a VX1 from Gunworks for $429.
A little more than you wanted to spend, but you won't do much better for the money and they have the lifetime guarantee and will be fine on the Rem mag.

    I have a sightron S23942

So 3-9 x 42 S2 so 1 up from base model, better glass than VX1 but slightly less forgiving eye box, not sure how old it is but still in good shape. I purchased 2nd hand and have had for a couple of years

    $250 plus postage

PM if you interested and can send some pics

    Dino

    Cheers

I have a viper HS-T coming at christmas, hence needing something for the interim. Of-course for that money I'm not expecting the world, but a good solid scope would be great for now and then something i can put on my .22 once the vortex arrives. Much appreciated @Matt2308, and @Dino will be in touch.

I might be able to do a 4.5-14x42 Burris FFII Ballistics Plex for you. However, you might not quite get it for less than $300.

I can do a "GunCity" 4x for well within your budget if you are keen

The Sightron above sounds like a good deal. Bushnell Elites pop up around $300 reasonably often too.
