Thread: Wtb tikka 300wsm

Want to set up my mate with the above rifle as his 243 runs out of legs down in Westland.
If it has a can that's a bonus.
Going second hand so can spend a heap on a gòod scope!
What's out there as the 300wsm is now been superseded by these new fangled calibres!

Pray tell what beats a 300wsm which has factory ammunition readily available?
Certainly not a 6.5 prc or other similar calibres.
That made me laugh

There’s a tidy looking xbolt on the yellow site for sale on trademe. It’s in Queenstown buy now cheaper than any second hand tikka you will find. Could be an option although I love my tikka

My integrity would be put In doubt if I ever did not put anyone into a tikka or sako!
I had a tikka 300wsm for years and loved it.
A good All round clambering that works.
To be fair the only thing I didn't like about the xbolt was the unadjustable trigger.
I think the later models are.

Lathan might be the one to ask as he hardly uses his now he's got 6.5prc. Doesn't really need 2 similar calibers. I'll try talk him into it

An immaculate 75 greywolf for $2400 obviously more expensive than a second hand T3 but options are nice

Want to spend 3.5k on a scope so way better to just get the stinky old cheap tikka with a mean optic!

Agreed mate iv always being an optics lad I’m probably looking at putting the grey wolf in a new stock I searched high and low when I had my 270 finlight couldn’t find one then iv just seen the 22-250 come up for sale in the grc stock and really like the look of it

I have a tikka 300wsm with DPT magnum suppressor with stainless baffle,has got long action bolt stop and extended magazine to seat bullets out further.Barrel is 20” -shoots 178gn eld-x at 2850fps very accurately-looking for $1500 -Cheers
