    WTS: Faulty Eotech 511

Got ripped of from ebay. Advertised as functional and in excellent condition. I love this models looks and size so I bid and won. Payed 345 USD shipped.

It is cosmetically in excellent condition, but the guy has fucked it. Chews through batteries in about an hour. Doing some research suggests it's bad contacts or incorrect battery usage. It is operational, but extremely limited.

The worst part is the guy I bought it from has 100% feedback on over 400 sales.

Someone with a bit of know how may be able to fix it.

    Offers any one?

Haven't you got some recourse through Paypals buyer protection?.
Lodge a complaint with them, they may freeze his funds and cause him enough inconvenience for him to come the party.
If you flick it on here, the problem becomes yours, not his.

If it was sneaked in ie really required export paperwork but was just sent then you will be in the same boat as me, I brought a new 553 which was dropped 20ft onto concrete and is now rooted that I can't return it cause the blood store in the US just shipped it (7 years ago) with no paperwork. Its not worth paying the US import/export fees even though it would have been repaired by Eotech for free at the time.
Whats worse is it was never even fitted on a rifle

100 bucks would be nice. Someone must be able to fix it. Just can't be bothered. I sent the guy an email and told him. His reply was "oh sorry"
