~35L hunting day pack with overnight capability

If you know what I mean. Something that isn't too bulky or high above the shoulders (unless it can collapse down), has compression straps to keep it low profile when not full, and can strap a tent and sleeping bag on the outside without compromising comfort or internal space. Must be compatible with a hydration bladder.

I'll consider anything close to what I've described. Preferably in Christchurch but not a requirement. Cheers.

If you're on a budget I just bought a macpac torlesse, it was cheap. Used it for a week tahr hunting and have to say I was impressed. Worth a look
I'm drawn to the mountains and the bush, it's where life is clear, where the world makes the most sense.

Have three of them round here. One for me, one for the kids and one daughter uses one as a school bag. And they have a pull out rain cover too.
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!

These are great and will likely last as long as me.

Miklat is a nice robust bag but I would have to say it would be a tight 40l. The markhor 40/45l is a nice bag and would prob suit better

You mean that Camelbak one you've just bumped? Killer price but it looks like you've already got a buyer. Not fully convinced anyway so no biggie.

If I was going new then I'd probably be looking at the Tenzing tz 2220, seems like it does everything I need. Might order it in a few days if nothing else comes up, would be nice to save a bit of money and go second hand though:
