    10 shot tikka mags

Anyone got one, how do you find it? E.g does it function ok, clips into & out rifle ok, feed lips not wearing ....
Looking at one for a 223, heard the factory tikka mags wear the feed lips out & won't pick up rounds correctly after a few hundred rounds through them that's why the steel lipped ones are made now.

Did someone at hunting and fishing tell you that? Never heard anything about the mags wearing out

There is this place that makes them.

    Tikka T3 rifle 223 308 6.5x55 30-06 WSM 300WM 6 shot and 10 round metal magazine & single round block sled

and Lucky 13 from Cleavers coming soon, about 1/3rd of the way down the page.

    https://www.cleaverfirearms.com/Prod...lucky+13+tikka

I have not used either of them.

Not hunting & fishing, a mate has two 223 mags that are worn on the front of feed lips so the round sits up at the front so the bolt just slides over the rim, he went & replaced it with a steel lipped one.
Proberly was more than a few hundred rounds but just don't want to be caught out with the same problem, if it isn't a issue why have tikka started making only short mags (correct me if I'm wrong) with steel feed lips?
Cheers Vikingm have checked out different makes just wondering whether any one has used them before I invest in one.

The trailing edge of the groove in Lapua .223 brass shaves the lips out of the std poly t3 mags pretty quickly. I had a couple go and Beretta replaced them with the still lipped mags for me. They said it was pretty common in .223 (only cal).

Optio, I spoke to a local Berret Australia guy. My rifle stopped feeding from the mag as the front of the magazine feed rails got chewed out. Bolt would not pick up the rounds. I paid the difference between the cost of the old and new magazines.
