I will try the 139 grain interlock as well. That has always been a good 7mm bullet for me. Hornady recommends a window of 2300-3500 for the 139 grain interlocks. I would probably get them to 3150 - 3200fps with the powder I have.

If you happened to chance upon a few Barnes type projectiles,having them on hand would give peace of mind for any really close stuff too. Yeah shots might be 2-400 but sometimes you get up to where animal is and either require a finisher or second animal is hanging around wondering why it's mate is sleeping. Should be a lot less messy option.....maybe.

They will go a lot faster than that. I get 3090 (chronographed) in my 708. I’d go with a barnes.

Just do some more trips with me, no matter what calibre/projectile you have, I've never seen you lose a wounded deer yet, I must be a lucky charm.

I have a 120gr hornady hollow point load in 7mm Rm, absolutely devastating on goats, usually sub 200m, measured speed was 3400 fps, barrel gets hot quick

120 gr would be interested especially in a solid or copper perhaps

Mate in the state swears by 140gr bergers in 7mmRemMag. So dont see why the sst wouldn't be much different.

The 140g SST in 7mm and 150g in 30cal are very very soft. They suit reduced velocities.

Its a gift. Sometimes I don't even bother with the hippie throuple, just wait in camp for the stags to turn up.

120gn BT is an excellent projectile. I used it in 1 or 2 7mm08s I've had it. I doubt you will be disappointed.

7mm08 will give completely different results to a 7mm RM.
The Rem Mag will likely turn this projectile in to a bomb that doesn't penetrate on tough animals close up.
Lots of energy but they may "walk it off".

If you’re only shooting 2-400 m just use a 708. I’m getting 2980 fps with 120BT and they kill extremely well. Less powder , Less recoil and great to 550 m.

What would be considered a tough animal? 120s have a very thick jacket.
