    162gn ELDM Performance

Knocked over a couple of fallow spikers at 340 yards back of farm. Both through front facing shoulder. Went straight through blowing lung out the offside. Both dead after some stumbles and then a sideways fall.

I've had this on 3 deer now, including a large red stag.

Does this match others experience? Shot at 2960fps MV.

Yep. If you drill through the front facing shoulder they do the same at 600y too.

Yup I get slightly more mv out of my rem mag at 3040fps but performance is yet to let me down everything I have hit has died on the spot

Bullet going straight through is a good thing, they dont go far with air vents. I think that the bullet is sucking the bits out not blowing them out. Most dramatic I have seen was goats with 90gr hollow points out of a 270. Bushes behind looked like a washing line.

I am also using these in my 280ai only shot one animal so far a medium sized hind at 280yards, mv 2980. Lots of damage deer dropped on the spot but no exit. Had been using them in a 284 at about 2700 shot around 10 deer and goats out to 1km worked very well.

Are these the rebranded 162 amax or is that the Edl-x?

Went amazing out of my 284 @ 2750~. Blew a hole in a sika stags neck at 90yds~ and smashed a big red stag at the same range. Completely sold on them and shot them in multiple calibres now with great success. Exit wound on a fallow spiker at 300m~

Yeah I used the old amax in my 7mmRM - cant remember the FPS off the top of my head, but it was moving - and had the same experience at 450M, insanely good killers.

I havnt used the eldm as yet, im still working thru my decent supply of 162 Amaxs, which work awesome!

I believe the eldm is constructed almost identically to the Amax and if their terminal performance is the same as the Amax theyll be what i change over to when my Amax's are finally depleted.

Have shot around 15 or so deer with them now in my 284 at around 2600fps. Ranges from 10 - 500yards. They work bloody awesome. Few vids below that capture some of the shots.
