    2 Band Snider 1860 Value?

What would be the price range? Assuming it's not shit. Anything to look out for on inspection? Anyone got brass? Or do I have to cobble 28ga shells...

    Well
    They are old rifles....so?
    2 types of breach
1st type can be tricky...suicide block some call it
These are generally the earlier conversions from memory ....I'm nearly as old as these things...lol
But still great fun to shoot
There are better than I here who can tell you more...or hook up with the local branch of the antique and historical arms group or black powderas they know heaps and run shoots for these guns

As he said, basically if the block doesnt rattle back and forward, the extractor works when the blocks withdrawn, the lock firing pin and nipple arent stuffed due to dry firing its basically good to go. Dont expect a good shiny bore, pitting doesnt detract from the inherent accuracy of the snider at all!
Only use black powder not trailboss and expect a lot of trial and error

Well yeah kinda more bore condition and weather the action is nice and tight etc if you want it as a shooter
That’s more important than how it looks Cosmetically
But Obviously cosmetic condition says a lot

Took the punt on one on T/M 3-4 years back $599 buy now, thought well if is not great I should still get my money back reselling it. Turned out to be a Pearlier great condition and near perfect bore. Sometimes you just get lucky.
