The 223 currently in ya life.

Having recently sold a beauty Tikka CTR I still had the itch to have another 223 in the safe, they are just so much fun to shoot.

Ended up getting offered this for a deal I couldn't refuse, personalized with a couple of bits, mounted a Swaro Z5 on it, loaded up some bombs n will go shoot it in the next few days.

While she's farken fugly, @ 8 lb n well balanced it's a mint little rifle, then to decide what colour to paint the stock lol

looks like that one is a mix of models. Pretty sure the bog standard aspire has a 22" fluted barrel and a black plastic bolt knob.

Yeah it's a standard T3x ( cut back ) in an Aspire stock & I put the soft touch vertical pistol grip on it ( I thought it was black until I ripped the packet open & it's gray ) hahahaha never mind it's a freak

Two, a zastava mini m85 I've had for nearly 20 years and a ruger American the first model. They're bloody hard to shoot out, the zastavas done tens of thousands of rounds.

    T3
Should of brought one years ago.
Just need to find a scope for it. Either a VX5 in mils or upgrade my 260 with some FFP mil scope and put that VX5 over.

Tell about that suppressor. I tried to get one through H&F. They look the business, light, short and very efficient.

I got it direct from Maniatis gunsmithing. It's actually for another rifle 30cal rifle. Still very effective on the 223.
Was looking for a balance of weight sound suppression and cost. This one is 281g with 50mm over barrel to suit the build better. So he had to order it from the supplier. Usually he stocks the 180g muzzle fowards ones for a few DB less but 100g lighter. As most people chasing weight. And his ones are better value for the overbarrel.

Very happy for the price weight and sound.

His own hunting ones with a larger over barrel are probably better value for money. But wouldn't work for what I wanted.
H2 might be a bit better at suppression but way more expensive and heavy.
    Oceania defence more expensive.
DPT with an extra baffle or 2 probably works out similar suppression but more weight.

I bought the 131g muzzle forward one for my .308 - to my uncalibrated ear it was the same or ever so slightly quieter than shooting through an overbarrel DPT with an extra baffle. Distance forward of the muzzle was close enough between the two it didn't matter, third of the weight was a no brainer.

    Greetings.
My .223 rifles are a very boring mix of a Remington 700 VSSF that I use for 300 yard shooting. It has a Leupold Mk 4 4.5 to 14 scope.
The other is a Tikka T3x Lite with a Bushnell 10 power scope that was used for 4P. I will probably need it for thinning out the hares on our block. Regrettably the VSSF has a 12" twist where the T3 is 8".
Earlier I had an ex Police Brno that I used on goats and target 4P.

I've always had a .223 and have had many different ones over the years.
I've had a very accurate Tikka superlight in a carbon stock that my son now has as I had the chance to buy my ultimate.223 in my eyes a Sako 85 carbon light fitted with a Swarvoski Z5.
The swaro looks a bit big on the little gun but a need and want the 18 power.
This will never get sold and will be passed on to my son and hopefully grandson when I have finished with it.

Mrs got me this for my birthday. Blackout in 223, 20" 8 twist. Swaro Z5+ and Oceania Defense suppresor. Super fun, burned through 50 rounds yesterday in between bouts of load development for my 7prc. Now have the semi vertical grip on it also. Shooting the 73 eldm @2890

And also... not strictly a 223, but its older, but cool cousin. T3x in 222. Plan to eventually load something stupidly small going stupidly fast for hares and bunnies etc but have a bit of factory ammunition to chew through first.
