    Definitely try the 45gr CCI sub (called Suppressor, I think) most accurate in my shorty Marlin bolt rifle and killed well.

    I agree. Just buy 8 or 9 boxes of 50. That's what I did. One is bound to shoot pretty good/acceptable. The idea of buying bricks of 500 is just stupidity.

    Try RWS, the Club shoots ok in my M2 Brno as well as my grandsons. Only thing it its a solid.

    SK Match was better but twice the price.

    Winchester AU no longer makes ammo. All imported now.

    I found CCI subs kill poorly and groups were the worst of all tested ammo in three different 22's. +1 for the Ausi win subs

    Depends how you rate the ammo:do you want:

    -accuracy: your rifle will most likely favour one brand over most others;
    -killing power;
    -low noise?
    One brand probably won't satisfy all those requirements.

    Try Magtech subsonics..

    I have both new stock usa made Winchester and old stock ozzy made Winchester ammo here
    The quality Difference is 100% Visible to the eye
    The hollow points on the USA stuff are poorly formed and every one is Different in shape and size

    The bullets are also coated with some sort of yellow shit

    The ozzy stuff is perfect in every way

    @Moa Hunter was that the CCI Suppressor 45gr 970gr bullet load, crazy if so as I found it the complete opposite ?

    I also found the Aussie Winchester subsonic Ok & I think the heavier 42gr was a better killer again, made a couple of Blues as the Supersonic Winchester black box looks the same & filled the mag up with the wrong ammo, scared the shit out of my when it went load !! .

    Im geussing that 45gn is getting quite heavy for 22lr mate I Geuss it then is 50-50 weather your rifle Stabilises it some rifles will some won’t ive also here good things about its accuracy and also function in semis
    Geuss you just got un lucky and your rifle didn’t like it
    That can happen to any rifle/ammo combo

    I suppose the heavier slug could do that, it isn't much but could be a point ?

    I have a few Aguila 22LR 60gr Sniper Subsonic but haven't tested them as yet, now I can see these long bastards being a problem !

    I have a fair amount of that sniper subsonic aswell
    It actually goes well in my custom 10/22 cycles aswell which is very surprising
    You have about a 1 in 10 chance with it most 22’s can’t shoot it for shit but for the odd one that does it’s amazing stuff ive never shot anything liveing with it but certainly smacks steel with Authority even at 100

    Just had a look in the safe: CCI sub-sonic 22LRHP 40 grain. A box of 100 disappointments
