Looking at a new 6.5mm based 08 cartridge tops rifle and the extra 4" or 6" over most typical rifle models like a Tikka or Remington makes it attractive for the extra approx 150-200 fps I could get out of the extra tube.

Looking into the exact same. I can vouch for my Xbolt in .270. Sub MOA from the day I got it. Looking at the Xbolt max or Hells canyon in 6.5 prc for the longer range stuff. I would buy one tomorrow based on the experience of my Xbolt but would also like firsthand confirmation from someone who actually has one. I'd expect 1/4 MOA with Hornadys ELD x.
