.264 win. what load are you running.

Just loaded up a few rounds for my M70, Usual 140gr accubonds with IMR 4350, dropped the load back 1.5 gr as different batch of powder to my last, will work back up, pretty hot even were we are at,

Haven't got any 130gr accubonds yet, But rifle does very well with them, have used up a few packets of Nosler 130gr accubonds factory ammo, "expensive"
don't quite know how I have two packets of ammo in Canada and rifle in New Zealand.
Bought a tin of ADI2225 (retumbo) yesterday from H&F, and loaded up with 65-67g and 129 gr sst, hopefully shoot ok,
Must spend a day this winter and recheck speeds, and source sum 130 accubonds, and see how fast I can push them.
Reloader 33 is meant to be very good, alt least speed wise, any one tried it in a .264 win.

    Speer 90 Gr TNT 72gr AR2213SC, 3593fps

    Hornady 120 GMX 70gr AR2217, 3485fps

    Both loads group about 10mm.

TNT's are devastating on wallaby and work well on fallow for neck / head shots.

That's fair steaming along, I'm surprised there's any wallaby left after soaking up something like that!

All though I am very interested in trying some 100-110gr projectiles in my 270wsm to see what I can vaporize with them

130 Berger VLD going 3320fps and 130gn Swift going 3300fps. Easy half inch all day. 68gnADI2225-Fed210. Have a truckload of H4831 and it likes that stuff too, but the 2225 gives up more velocity, have the 140 Berger going 3250 with 64gn2225.

Hell your getting great speeds with your .264, I be happy at 100fps less with any of those bullets, I had hoped the swifts, would work for me, but found them inconsistent on weigh, shot ok once weight shorted, but 5gr variance with the batch I had,
Do the Berger VLD hold together well enough at close range ?, I have tried 130 VLD, not as accurate as the accubonds for me, also but bit skeptical with any target bullet at 3300fps,
I have rather, more faith in a partion or a bonded,

I am impressed, I eyed up sum 120gr Balistic tips, 125gr partions, before deciding on the 129 sst,
the speeds your getting make me think I should try a light bullet,
I will see how I go with sourcing 130gr accubonds and what speeds I can get.

Nice to see a few others with a hotrod, 6.5.

The Berger VLD hunting bullet is just that: a hunting bullet, with great bc that kills well at close range and far out, have killed Tahr at close range (30yds close) fast and clean, might try the 143gn Hornady ELD-X if I can get a few to try. I run the Hornady 140gn Interlock and 123SST as a dual load setup in my 6.5 Swede, but the 143 ELD might be a good stand alone bullet in both rifles, I just wouldn't run any SST at real speed at close range, if you were going to run the 130gn SST in your 6.5 Winmag, set up a dual load with something tougher for the close stuff.

    Should have seen the rabbits

Lets just say the wallaby that got the good news at 40m was see through.

I have smacked em' at 400m with the 90's and they pole-axe.

From now on I will stick with the GMX for Deer and I think I will try the 140 SST and 143 ELD-M as a do-it-all without killing my wallet projectile.

My problem is too many projectiles to try...

Didn't realize you meant VLD hunting, but should have I guess, I will look into them, once the 140 accubonds are used up, due to cost savings,
I am only using the 129gr SST to build a load up, for the 130 accubonds, for a powder weight to start at, SST likely be ok on goats, small deer,
Rifle shot the 140gr Hornardy HPBT very well, but I don't know how they will be on game, similar to a-max at a guess.
Heading down to Palmerston North, Friday, hopefully find sum R33, and 130gr accubonds in the half dozen sports stores along the way,
    Thanks for the information.
