Does anyone have experience with this rifle and chambering? How does it go for magazine length and projectiles? Can you run 180s and 195s seated right out and still fit in the magazine or is the throat / magazine length too short / long etc etc.
Keen to hear how anyone has got on.

Not that calibre but The x-bolt triggers I've seen are less than impressive. Sloppy fit and heavy break. Haven't done a trigger job on one so don't know how easy to fix.

I have had an x-bolt in .270 in the past so am familiar with the platform. I too did not like the trigger but wasn't aware of the spring replacement option at the time so that no longer worries me.
@Been Upto Looking into a few options ay, wondering how much the rem mag will get used with my 284 up and running properly. And I'm curious on details haha.

Thanks gents. Not detracting from the 7mm Blaser, if the rifle is going to need work done I'll just revert back to Plan A and get a 7mm - 300 built. Cant anwser that sorry dude never actually played with one i didnt mean to quote your post was more aimed at @stagstalker with his situation of having a tikka in rem mag iv done the conversion and it works bloody well the blaser is very efficent for the power it produces 69 gns of powders sees an easy mid 3000 range in the 180 weight class and fits the tikka mag perfect i imagen the 28 nosler would be waisted cut short and as stagstalker is a fan of the shorter barrels I no he could still get 2900-2950 at 21" with the blaserQuote:

The Tikka action isn't long enough to make the most of the Rem Mag as it's not a true long action so ideally i'd need a different action for a Rem Mag to benefit it.
The 28 Nosler is a barrel burner what what everyone has told me.
The 7mm Blaser uses less powder, reaches 3000 + and can easily fit a Tikka action
Variety is the spice of life and i would like a different rifle compared to the Tikka's i own but then again... their a proven rifle and do the job nicely but I'm loving my .284 :thumbsup:
Yeap @Kelton is onto it , my old 21" blaser was pushing the 180 vld at 2900ish and when it was 24" it was bit over 3000. They were mild loads too.Quote:
