There is particularly nothing you could desire that isn't already in NZ
You just have to make lots of calls
    Follow lots of leads
    Find what your heart desires
Then go about the process of convincing its current custodian that you are worthy of being its next custodian

And then there's the tricky matter of agreeing on a value that works for both parties

If you could find a BSA sporterised P14 with a reasonable barrel, you have a very good bolt action 303 built on a mauser type action that is relatively easy to mount a scope too. And if you were that way inclined you could probably bump up the pressure a little to get a tad more speed as the action can handle it.

    Funny you should say that.
I think I know where there's one for sale.

Problem is, it would be a safe queen. All mine are for using in the bush.

Possibly, sure the ammo is expensive , but IMO its still awesome to go out shooting with a gun that ANZAC legends used to rid the world of evil ba#tards in two world wars and numerous other scraps.

I havnt bought 303B ammo for a decade or more, when I did it was to get brass to reload. Highland was iirc PPU factory, or was it PMC? Anyhoo, was cheap and reasonably good brass to reload.

Just checked GC website and they have PRIVI PARTIZAN, Serbian, in your choice of 158 or 180 gn. Same price, $64.99. That's a hell of a good price compared to premium centrefire ammo in, like, 6.5 or 7mm08. $3.25 a shot vs north of $5. And the Load will probably do better than most 303B are capable of. And still reasonably good brass. GC are still selling HXP as well...if you can get clean stuff.

So hard to say it is an expensive calibre to shoot if thats your thing. Just not a 500m plus cal unless you put a lot of effort on.

Exactly along the same lines as my thoughts that I shared earlier.
PPU is top notch ammo and is pretty much the best brass available for reloads, so its a bonus to buy that ammo and get some cheap high quality brass afterwards.
Most of that HXP brass comes up like new after going through the tumbler too.

This on TM, proper parker hale sporter. The deluxe model would have had a new PH barrel, nice factory stock, 5 shot mag, proper scope mount. Does not look like it's had a lot of use. Modified to the mk2 trigger setup- where the trigger is pinned to the action rather than the trigger guard. Probably no headspace or bore problems here. A gem and getting hard to find in this configuration. PH only used the best examples for the deluxe model, I've even seen and should have bought a no4 T marked deluxe model! the barrel was rooted but still..

I lived in Burnham camp until I was 11..ish, my old man was a sergeant, I still remember his old 303 sitting in the wardrobe.
These days I have my late father in laws old 303, it's not flash but it's still ok for a rare shot or two, I've had a gunsmith go over it to be safe.

ihave in my collection my permanent shoulder mounted equivalent to an 18inch naval gun aka no4mk1*longbranch 1943 model .my first centrefie and ihave to buy the wife a fauxfox fur jacket to pacify her .Gundoc did some work on it for me (you were in brisbane st in those days and he was a mine of valuable information on it .my other mentors were old boys out at the deerstalkers range !
anyhow iheard no word of complaint from any animal which fell to a fastbowled 180gn rn slug nor as yet have ihad anyone offer to play wicket keeper!
of course the old girl resieds over the more sprightly 7,62x39 and its baby sister .223 plus .22s&shottties.Im not a man of expensive taste or constanly haring up bloody mountians -crafty canadas/ferals/mallards are more my focus but if and when the sdituation arisesIfeel confident ill win .

oh and a dspot of adive for all you great white bwanas who worship at the .270 altar etcetc ,303 and 270 WSM rounds are very good at delivering terminal blowjobs to horny buck jackos-composts em instantly.
