    38 Super Open Gun

Just picked up my Caspian Open Gun in 38 Super
Shown with 28 rd mag in it
Was a custom built gun a few years ago with all the top fruit in it.
Needs a REALLY good clean, and the grip tape removed and some thin alloy grips added.

Brass in the tumbler as we speak

    Nice

Will shoot better than it looks too.

Only thing that would be better is if you scored it for a bargin price as well.

Now that is a cool looking gun
Thing on the end is a brake to reduce muzzle flip?
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.

Yeah - its a brake/compensator - matches the slide contour pretty well when the slides forward
38 Super loaded to major power is pretty stiff, tames it down a bit.

    A 45 with a comp recoils like a really soft 9mm

Starting giving it a cleanup today.. hmm.,. colour not coming back bright on the frame.
Strip it down and WOWZERs the frame is light - the lightened stripped slide weighs more than the frame and sight it feels like.
Hmm.. looks like, feels like Titanium.... because IT IS!

Titanium framed Caspian race gun + extras for $1100 can only be described as a Bloody good score.

I always think if you feel slightly bad when you drive away with the goods in the car you've done bloody well.

    LOL
Want to know the funny bit? I HATE IT! lol
Spent all weekend trying to get used to the optic - drawing - dry firing etc -sorted - can point the gun and the dot is where it should be.
Shot it at range today, nice - however when I pickup and shoot any of my open sight guns muscle memory is all up the shit and shoot high.
Get used to them again after a few hrs then pickup the open gun, and cant see the bloody dot again!

So - as nice as it is, Optics arnt for me while my eyes work, and its for sale tomorrow!
Will have to get a open sight Super with a comp instead.
I'd keep it and remove the optic but the frame doesnt have any sight cuts in it...
