5 round tikka mag feeding issue

So I bought a second hand 5 round (4 for the 7mmSaum) tikka mag and it's not feeding the last two cartridges very well. It's like there's not enough tension on the spring and the primer end is sagging with the bullet pointing high. Is this a common problem and is there any easy fix before I go through the painful process of trying to get my money back? Cheers

I’ve never had this problem with mine but if it happened to me, I’d probably try a squirt of silicone type spray inside the mag to ensure the follower was moving smoothly on the mag spring

    Just a thought.

Is it a normal Long action mag or a Short mag one.

As the saum case is a very tight fit in the normal LA mag, 3 or 5 round. If you have the LA mag I'm picking that's the issue.

Yeah it's a long action, 3 round does it alright though? Does a medium do it better @GWH

You need to use the WSM mag to fit the SAUM case properly. A normal SA or LA mag 'springs' apart as you jam saum cases into and they bind up in there.

Ah right, thanks @GWH I didn't realize there was a difference. It was advertised as a 4 shot 300 WSM. Is there any obvious way to tell the difference between the WSM and normal size? Looks to be exactly the same as the 3!shot mag I have that feeds all good.
