Thread: 6.5 Grendel Ammunition

I want some. Hornady/Lapua is too expensive to shoot through an AR when hunting and potentially lose the brass ($218/100 for empty Lapua brass). Prvi Partizan make an affordable reloadable brass cased alternative, which costs around 50 cents per round in bulk in the US (sold there under the Wolf Gold brand).

Cameron Sports are the NZ importer of PPU and don't stock it, and won't order less than 10,000 rounds for a special order on their regular shipment for some reason.

Anyone interested in trying to get an order of 10k together?

I thought you would have just ordered 20k or so.

Thought about it, probably $afortune per round though even though its pretty cheap elsewhere

I can get the empty PPU brass for 45£ per 100 cases from the UK but plus shipping = $hornady

It's on my 'possible' list. Can get hydro forming dies. Can't think of a real cheap way to get x39 brass though and I hate forming shit. Would defeat the point if getting the Grendel: all factory stuff.

Minor correction . PPU set the minimum quantity limits not Cam sports .

Generally Cams are good to deal with .They just cant see themselves selling 10k of that calibre I guess.

Ah, the way I got it was that it was Camerons, either way, I can't get it unless I can scrape together enough people for a 10k order

No-one will buy a 6.5G gun if the ammo isn't available, no-one will buy the ammo if they don't buy a gun. I hate living in a small market.

Why do you "need" hydro dies? 100 extra rounds down the barrel aint gonna rip your tits?

Worst case scenario ask someone nicely to run a reamer into a rooted barrel and make a "forum" fireforming barrel?
