You only have to look at the metrics to see how the new innovations are improving performance. The obvious ones are windage and elevation reductions and increased energy on target, through heavier, longer, higher BC bullets matched to faster twists. But there's also new stuff like the 1:3" 8.6 BLK and these insane subsonic projectiles, e.g. Maker's Rex that literally scythes through the animal like a 1000 ft./sec broadhead arrow. Or the latest ultra high velocity lightweight copper projectiles that guys are shooting at close to 4000 ft./sec with next to fuck all drop over crazy ranges (ideal for night time point-and-shoot thermal work). Lots going on and as always some will stick and become mainstream.
