    8mm Lebel rounds

Came across these stubbies at bottom of an ammo safe. Marked 8mm Lebel. Markings on case head at 3, 6, 9 & 12 o'clock read 1, 48, SF, I. Rounds should still work as it was kept in a humidity controlled safe and the powder still rattles. Google-fu says this is ball ammo. Are these collectible therefore not to shoot, just shoot them as its common ball ammo or are they worthless and just banish to the bottom of the scrap pile? Thanks.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

Black Primer Annulus from SF (Societe Francais Munitions) equals good to shoot.
Red Primer Annulus from CP equals duds, hangfires.

Shoot some, keep some. It used to be everywhere, but has been used up over the years. There's a very limited market for it now.
In longrange riflery, trajectory is the pure science part. Gravity is a constant for our purposes.
Wind is in the art department.
    Light is pure fucking voodoo.

I have a bag of these and was considering putting them through a rifle when I lucked upon a decent stack of ppu ammo. If anyone is in need of a couple boxes reloadable ammo, pm me.

I’d be keen, but I imagine dies for this calibre would be like finding unicorns

Reloaders might do them, or at least they will order them on request. They seem to stock every weird caliber
