One experiment you can do is as follow:
Use a normal pair of earmuffs ( it does not work with electronic ear muffs)
Shoot 1 round with bare muzzle.
Then shoot 1 round with the suppressor and just 1 baffle ( the front one preferably).
Then shoot 1 round with a second baffle in place
And carry on with each extra baffle you have.
The ear muffs act as a filter and will make you appreciate much better how each baffles decrease the sound reduction.
