    Air rifle info

    Hey team.

Asking on behalf of a mates dad. He is in the process of getting his FAL (but who knows when that will come through), and is wanting to pop some bunnies in the mean time.

What air rifles do people have experience using? He’s keen on something half decent that doesn’t break the bank. He’s happy to go second hand if it’s a proven shooter.

And advice given would be much appreciated.

I use a Hatsan Galation in .25 caliber. As a PCP and a 12 shot cylinder magazine, it’s a thumper.

What is an FAL? My best guess is Firearms license. But being that an air rifle is not a firearm . . .

Out of all of these ones here https://www.shooterssupplies.co.nz/s...nks/air-rifle/
I would pick the Benjamin rouge. Good value cause is used. .22 cal is my preference

Here in NZ, PCP air rifles require a firearms licence (FAL).

Yep, all changed after the cop was killed a few years back with a PCP.

That is very interesting about PCP and the legislation. In the States many of the hunters using air rifles, to include PCP) are felons who are statutorily prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.

Got to try a Ruger Blackhawk Elite - was very impressed with it, performed very well on bunnies.
