    Alternative to Warne Premier rings

No luck so far in my hunt for the discontinued Warne Premier rings in 30mm low (see Buy/Sell ) so have ended up buying Talley. If you have the old Warne Premier bases fitted and need rings to fit, based on this purchase I can pass on the good news that Talley can supply rings for this size of dovetail. Here are the part numbers & descriptions:

K200003 1" Low Screw Lock Detachable Ring for Kimber 89 DGR 0.300"
K200004 1" Med Screw Lock Detachable Ring for Kimber 89 DGR 0.400"
K200005 1" High Screw Lock Detachable Ring for Kimber 89 DGR 0.500"
K500003 1" Low Quick Detachable Ring for Kimber 89 DGR 0.300"
K500004 1" Med Quick Detachable Ring for Kimber 89 DGR 0.400"
K500005 1" High Quick Detachable Ring for Kimber 89 DGR 0.500"
K400003 30mm Low Screw Lock Detachable Ring for Kimber 89 DGR 0.300"
K400004 30mm Med Screw Lock Detachable Ring for Kimber 89 DGR 0.400"
K400005 30mm High Screw Lock Detachable Ring for Kimber 89 DGR 0.500"
K600003 30mm Low Quick Detachable Ring for Kimber 89 DGR 0.300"

There is no mention of these in the main online catalogue. The list linked below includes them though:

Having not used Talley rings before I found the QD option turned out to be the Screw Lock with a replacement lever kit so both options for attachment are available. The rings are much thicker & heavier than the Premiers but the clamping is VERY solid - albeit without any recoil lug so a front base with a recoil stop may be needed - and a perfect fit for the Warne bases.
