Anyone in Auckland got the gear to copy a barrel marking onto a new barrel

I have a Remington no 2 rolling block currently in 38/40wcf the bore is a complete disaster
So im rebarreling unfortunately due to barrel availability i have had to go with 44/40 for the rebarrel

Im getting the barrel profiled perfectly to match the original barrel and i thought as a nice little detail
It would be nice to put a copy of the original marking on the barrel

Anyone got the ability to do this? I would want it to look pretty original so a stencil and electro etching might be the go?

It could be done with a pantograph engraver provided the correct font with serrifs is used. I stamp such things where possible as I have a good number of different stamp sets but I don't have any with serrifs. They are probably available on special order but would be very expensive. I should add that hand stamping to maintain straight lines and correct spacing takes a lot of skill and technique through much experience, so the pantograph would be your best option.

A trophy engraver should be able to do it.

The origional has been stamped, so cutting with a cnc or pantograph would look good but not quite exactly right. I have access to a cnc mill at the moment and may be able to help you, Do you have a better image so I can check if we have a font that looks similar as I can't even read that with my eyesight (It doesn't need to be a photo).

If all else fails, I have the correct font stamps, 2.5mm high, coming from UK.

Sorry about the late response guys
Actually forgotten i had posted this
It’s at least a few months off happening yet
As if I decided to do this it would be the last job @No good names left I can certainly get better photos with better lighting but in @gundoc I will keep you in mind also i do think stamping it would look more correct as said above

    http://https://www.threehellos.com/blog/the-best-serif-fonts-for-branding-part-one

My take on it is find the closest serif font and get a set of pantograph letters 3D printed
Measure the scale ( I have a nice no2 here with a very nice roll mark ) and make a set that would suite.

But make the set to a scale that can be enlarged or reduced for other Remingtons

So a plain serif set will do all the Remington Arms Co models

The earlier E Remington and Son's roll mark would be a bit trickier

    Nope
Not an option for this one as there’s very little material on these super lightweight sporters
Besides no one in nz does that work as it is very specialist type working only a handful of people (mainly in the usa ) are doing and it would cost more than the gun is worth even if it could be done
