I am veeeeeery interested in a rifle listed in the auction catalogue but not pictured, if someone was going to have a peruse anyway and could email me some photos I would be highly appreciative!
Cheers, Tom

I was under the impression it had been moved to 20 september or have the goal posts moved again
I'm itching to see lot number 957, it's an LEC NZ carbine but it says 10 round mag and standard bolt with checkering on the grip, if 'standard' bolt means it's not the swept down half-knob style, plus incorrect mag, it might just go cheap enough for me to buy it for the top and bottom stocks, been on the lookout for ages.
@tommygun if you get it cheap enough for the wood, maybe I could get the rest of the rifle off you cheap too?
I think @Maca494
qualifies as antique
Summer grass
Of stalwart warriors splendid dreams
the aftermath.
Matsuo Basho.
If you want a photo of an item, send them a "please" email. Taking photos is not allowed at the auction and pre-viewing.
hopefully the barrel isn't too naff. Cheap is a relative word too.
@csmiffy
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, it looks like a butt off a cavalry carbine (the type with the sling slot in the right side of the stock and no bayonet lug; not an 'NZ carbine') the action and bolt from a Long Tom (not NZ marked and numbered on the left side of the socket as it ought to be) with the barrel and front wood off an NZ carbine, I can PM you photos, I actually have a second NZ carbine action but it has had the markings scrubbed to the point of being almost illegible, which is why I'm building around my better one.
@tommygun why not
I'm not trying to do an original back up, more of a nice short shooter. That's why a relatively good barrel would be nice. See what you want to keep. If you wanted to get rid of the other carbine but its probably worth more anyway
Like I posted though it all depends how cheap it ends up
Might not be that cheap
Can't add photos to a PM for some reason:
If you're looking to build a slick sporting .303 without the charger bridge etc, I do have this Long Tom action, ought to be the same thread as every Enfield barrel out there, so a barrel won't be hard to come by, $100 posted if you're interested.

Cheers. I'll have a think about that
