anyone shooting a 6mm Super LR?

I have a LH sako 85 sitting in the gun cabinet that I'd like to rebarrel to 6mm Super LR, 6mm Creedmore, 6-6.5x47 or 6XC for 105-108g vld's and maybe 115g out to 1000m

Cant quite decide which. Burnt my 20BR out in 1200 rounds and dont want to go there again so was thinking the 6-6.5x47 as its got 5g less capacity than the 243 variants, but been reading a thread on the 6CM (comp match) which sounds like a 243 AI variant and the guy says its good for 4000 rounds as the larger capacity allows him to burn H1000 (Ar2217) which is a cool burning magnum powder compared to H4350 (AR2209).

He has 28-30" bbls which is probably one reason H1000 works. The goto pwder for the 6 SLR appears to be H4350

Still thinking 6-6.5x47 is my best bet

Convince me on one of them?

I'm building a 6.5 SLR and a 6mm SLR, waiting on bits and pieces...

6.5SLR for bushpig rifle, 6mm for lightweight walk around wallaby, goat fallow varminter...

reasons? different, long necks, no fireforming sightly better performance than parent... 30deg shoulder, slightly more efficient, less trimming..... did I say different...

Sounds like a project, I am having a 6.5x47L built at the moment for gong shoots. Yes it is only a mid capacity and will need more clicks on the scope to reach way out there however as you say the barrel will last a lot longer than my 7mm Mag. It will be cheaper all round to shoot than the bigger rifle I have. Excellent Lapua brass is available here, I will be shooting the Lapua 123 Scenar bullet. My rifle should get to me next week and I hope to have it running for the Alpine Long Range event in November.
