    aother 62s question

    went for a look around a new spot on the weekend when i got there pulled the garmin 62s out and fired it up but find theres no contour lines on it anymore anyone know what settings to check bloody thing lucky i checked before heading off into the bush if i zoom out far enough it will show a different map with colours to show heights but it needs to show most of the north island which isnt much use if im trying to sus out local terrain lucky i had a topo map as well cheers

    Have you got "de-clutter" turned on? That will remove a lot of detail from the map

    Sounds like you may have somehow switched to base map rather than your sd card map. Go into setup/map/choose map, and enable the one on sd card

    Had a look at map set up but can't find anything that relates to SD card set up

    Look for the name of what ever map you have loaded on th card

    I had issues with my map at night loosing all detail and @Kiwi Greg fixed it....I think it was something to do with selecting single colour?

    Mine doesnt have a sd in it the maps hsve been loaded into the unit.

    Night mode, goes black, prick of a setting, still has all contour lines though

    And turn off shaded relief if your map/unit has it.
