Yep, tried that, old eyes I think. Have made 3 different blade heights. Will post my desired height when finished mucking around. For future reference.

a meter ruler should be able to be sat in rear sight groove, lined up with guts of aperture and give you right height for blade....if you have ruler between the rear v and existing blade...the difference between it and aperture will/should be same needed for front blade..eg 2mm lower it rear need 2mm lower at front..sort of thing. looking forward to seeing your end result..my crude sights let me down today.

Thanks @Micky Duck. I'll give that a go. Got three blades made, hopefully one will be close.

Size: 3.14 MB @Micky Duck photo as promised. For anyone attempting the same, this is what I used. Handy bit of metal lying around, angle grinder with cutting blade, bastard file, 2mm drill bit (several actually) and small bolt cutters. Blade measures .365 from top of foresight ramp to top of blade. I cut the existing spring in half with bolt cutters (really tough bugger side cutters not up to it). Placed half spring on front screw instead of rear. Cut blade to measure so sits flush on top of rear screw and rests against rear of front screw, Half spring produces sufficient tension so blade doesn't move. Cureently shoots 3" high at 100 meters with skinner sight as low as it will go. That was with factory ammo. I'll see what it does with my home loads before I muck around anymore.

hmmmm so you need bugger all more height to be just about ideal....wonder if you can somehow put a bead on top??? so you have a circular front to poke in guts of circular rear..... the hori in me says a shotgun bead threaded down into your blade..... you can get some very small beads that would be just about perfect, the drilling hole into blade top to thread it will be the challenge....

@Micky Duck. Probably a challenge to far, at least with my miniscule skill set. Currently groups at 3" with PRVI. Going to try my homeloads tomorrow (hopefully). See where they land at 100. Also going to have a go at dinner plate at 200 metres prone. Now that will be a challenge with the peep and that front blade. Wish me luck.
