AR optics options
So im considering a different sight for my ar. Currently running a sparc red dot but want to get a bit more magnification.
Considering a bushnell 1-4 or strike eagle 1-6 but there are probably others as well. I want a bdc type reticle and still want to keep a zero magnification option.
I would appreciate opinions and suggestions.
Main use would be pest control with maybe a little comp shooting as well.

How about one of these from NZ Ar15 Primary-arms-1-6x24mm-ffp-rifle-scope supossed to be a bit more rugged than a strike eagle, heaps on You-Tube about them
If you don't like FFP maybe one of these Primary-arms-1-6x24mm-sfp

nzar15 has the primary arms range that seems to review well. The AR bushy isn't a true 1 power, the one I looked through did some weird stuff down at 1x mag.
Nothing wrong with the strike eagle, glass is clear enough but they struggle a bit in low light (like most small obj scopes).
The first gen Viper PST 1-4's pop up for a good price reasonably often and they are bullet proof little scopes.
Loopy VXR series would be an option as well but again I don't believe they are a true 1 power

I bought a Leupold Mark AR 1-4x20 not long ago, and like it a lot. See them come up from time to time

If it’s pest control, then it’s hunting and the 1-4, 1-6 and 1-8x24 non flared tubes really do suffer from lack of light gathering ability.
For hunting purposes a flared tube 2-7 or 3-9 power is far better in low light.
Just my opinion.

I'm gonna be selling my Strike Eagle 1-6 with BDC reticle soon @Marty Henry.

@Sasquatch
The Strike Eagle not doing it for you? What are you up-grading too?

Gonna move to something with a bit more magnification.
