    AR Stocks (A Cat)

Now that some people have had some time to try the A Cat Stocks on the market for their AR

What do you think of them

Recommendations? (I'm thinking about getting one)

They all suffer from being stuck with the grip shape they come with,as we all have very different hands this is a real issue.

What grip have you been running? And how have you found it?
This info would help with recommending a stock.

The ergo is fairly slim,so as long as you did not find it to small you should be happy with a Speer mags stock or even better the NZ made tube stock that reloaders sell. I find the Speer mags stock has my face a little low as it's fairly thin material but some others like this. Would be probably 5mm lower than what you have now.

Nothing beats trying something in real life if you can?

Or you could spend the $ that a stock would cost you towards upgrading your security if needed and get your E endorsement while the cops are just handing them out for free.

That's the one from reloaders I'm recommending-I have the now e cat version and love it. As it's made by a good sort in NZ (not sure if he is on this forum) you could possibly get him to make you one using your ergo grip rather than the A2 grip they come standard with

    Servo A-Category Stock For AR10

This only fits a 308 AR10. It will not fit an AR15.

Receiver dimensions are different on "AR10" style guns vs AR15, so a thumbhole will not fit both. Different length of pull with a fixed stock.

And not the same between all "AR10" variations either.

Never out two and two together there, only ever put normal style stocks both, learn something new every day

Still, for the OP servo have made some ar15 style stocks this way so it could be worth contacting them directly

Reloaders definitely have them for the'15 as well. The other good thing about these is the bottom piece runs in the base and all the way up the grip and is resined in so won't crack like the GC plastic welded ones.

on a side note, why do I need my mssa and not just a sporting rifle? Just filling out the paperwork.

Put down that it is a sporting rifle and that political games have forced you to take this action.

    Others have done this

It's a out dated question in the current climate.

When I did mine I wrote "fun" but that was a long time ago.

You could write that you use a semi auto for pest hunting on terrain that makes a rifle with modern ergonomics the most safe and ethical choice
