Does anyone know of a good reliable source for ex-army ammo cans
I used to buy them from a scrap merchant in Wanganui who had them by the pallet load, is he still around?

those guys are pretty expensive the Wanganui guy had 4 for $20!
Do have someone in Marton that can collect if I can make sure he is still selling them
I miss the Army Surplus Store that most towns used to have...remember piles of beat-up ammo cans for $5 each. Shooters Supplies had a bunch last winter for $20 but many were badly dinged, had to search for a tidy one.
Here's their current deal, sorry not local to you K_K
Army Surplus 50.cal Ammo Tins
Ive got 4 or 5 haven't payed a cent picked up at the dump or free to good home at the range a while back have picked up a m429 one which is handy i have a smoke grenade one and a browning m2 one and a couple of others

Hey all!
Sorry for digging up old thread (figured I would use this rather than make a new one) but other than the obvious places where does one pick up a few used/bashed up ammo cans these days. After a couple of 50s, and 3-4 30s. I know I can get them from GC and army and outdoors. But thats going to run up $160 with shipping on top of that....
Is there a better way or does anyone have some they were wanting to move on?
Cheers
