    Found a quote awhile ago about a 577 nitro express.
    The 3" version supposedly using a 750gr projectile at 2050fps generates 7010 ft/lb of energy and is over 100ft/lb of recoil in a 15lb double rifle which is supposedly half of an 8 bore

    A 577NE kills on one end and maims on the other
