I've found turning it down or using tinted glasses helps me out

    Cheers for the responses.

Had my eye test and I have 20/20 vision and astigmatism. They didn't believe me when I told them I had it.

If glasses don't work ill probably just go raw dog on iron sights.

I have astigmatism and wear glasses as my long vision is a bit muted. Glasses help me a lot with spotting game

I’m a doctor, albeit not an eye doctor, and I suspect there’s a degree of misinformation involved in some of these comments and people’s understanding of eye issues. Some of the problems sound more like glaucoma than astigmatism. But understandable as astigmatism wasn’t defined at the beginning of the thread. Older eyes that can’t focus up close (presbyopia) also explains issues with using some sights/scopes/dots etc.

I had astigmatisms, after 20 years of glasses and contacts I bit the bullet and had blended laser surgery.
It's expensive, but if you worked out the cost of glasses and contacts over your lifetime, not to mention the money spent on guns/scopes utes etc.
It also fixed the age-related close vision issues.
Not everyone is a candidate to get it done, but it's generally free to find out.

I find the bigger the dot better it is as you can turn down the brightness quite a bit. I have a 6 MOA aimpoint and an adjustable dot Ultra Dot Match Dot both work very well for me.
