For more spectacular rifles check out Gibbs, Purdey, Holland & Holland and Westley Richards, all pretty amazing!

purdey make pretty cool looking shotguns, I watched a video about how they custom make the stock to suit and everything. Same with H&H I was watching a vid about this guy wanting a double rifle in .600NE I think or it could have been another caliber but he made up the bullet and took it in and the built the rifle for it.

    Theres the H&H vid

Pretty hard case hey, wish I had that kind of money! You see that a Holland double starts at 100k pounds and goes up from there!

Yeah Toby, you don't buy one of those because you need one, you buy one because money is no object and you can!

I'm afraid that mauser is very entry level compared to the Blaser R93 Duo "Hamed" double bolt action rifle... Made for a "very special" customer.

I was actually tempted to try contacting Prince Hamed to see if he'd be interested in coming down our way to shoot stinkies (I understand the Saudi mob have special place in their hearts for stinkies) and maybe even get him on to a scrappy headed red in Tuhoe country... All in the hope that some of that Saudi gold might rub off on a certain well meaning kiwi hunting buddy of course!

That is choice! Looks a similar design to the Fuchs bolt action doubles.

Yeah, and I think there are "Jurgenson" (or some name like that, can't remember) double bolt guns as well, saw them in the Hatari times a few years back. Incredible designs. After designing and building the "Hamed", Blaser decided to make the R93 Duo available as a special order for anyone so you I think you can get a plain-jane version of it.

Heym are much the same - the Euro's seem to see a rifle as a place to put carvings etc. Lots of them come pretty plain jane even totally unfinished with the assumption that you will be having someone carve it up for you!

Man that is beautiful. I would ruin it in a week Im not a shotgun man but I guess those holes visible in the pick are for pins to go threw to lock the action? what stops it getting loose as it wears? tapered pins?

    Fuck that's nice.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Yeah, one of Hermann Goerings great perks was arranging for the supply of some choice Drillings as "survival weapons" for the Luftwaffe. They were usually something like a double 12ga with a 9.3x74 or similar Euro calibre rifle under-tween.
