B cat safe
Hi,
just got a quick question for you, does a b/e cat safe have to have an engineers report, I just purchased a Boston pistol safe and un boxing it I have noticed it has no engineers report or any paper work at all to say it complies, is this normal and it only needs an engineers report if it's built different or somthing. Is there a list somwhere of approved ones? I was under the impresion that they would all have one. Cheers.

I would ring the retailer you purchased it from and get them to send you one for peace of mind.

The description and specifications are in the arms act, a engineering certificate is not actually requred.

I bought an old homemade 2nd hand b cat safe and installed it.
When the AO came to inspect it, he cleared it promptly, noting that it would be very difficult to jemmy open because the original builder had made it very well.
Not a recognised design, no cert, just ticked all the boxes so far as he was concerned.
