    Barrel fitting

    Another quick question team.

    I know Tikka and Sako barrels are the same so I’m guessing a Tikka barrel will fit a Sako 75 and 85 action?

    Also, I know you can make a Remington barrel fit a Tikka (did it for my 284), but can you make a Tikka barrel fit a Remington 700 action?

    Tikka and Sako late model barrels are interchangeable, but only with each other and subject to headspacing.

    Tikka/ Sako is 16 tpi 1" diameter. The Remington is 16 tpi 1-1/16" diameter so much bigger than tikka/ Sako.

    Pretty sure they only are interchangeable between some of the models
    75 and t3 Iv done and it was perfect
    85 is different but can be modified like anything if here is Enough meat on the Knox
    It would require a rechamber
