    Bayonet identification

Anyone know anything about this blade, it has been fire damaged and I am wondering if it is worth restoring if possible to re temper the blade.Name: image.jpg

Unless you wanted to use it for it's original purpose, would it matter?
Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.

It was/is a 1907 bayonet for a Lee Enfield. Seen better days that's for sure!

Being fire damaged it wont have any collectors value left.

I'd restore it as a winter project.

    Just because you can.

    Cheers

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Plenty of incentive to stop them before they get close enough to to that
