    No cross bolt. Sleeve in the tang screw and the front trigger housing is meant to do up against the recoil lug?

    @csmiffy I have a good book that explains in detail how to bed this (and other) actions. I can send it to you to borrow, or if you’re keen on tinkering with rifles, it’s available in NZ. You just have to promise to send it back.....
