the Maven RS1.2 mil reticule is probably one of the best FFP reticle I looked through for holdover.

The track toric ffp scopes 2.5-15 or 4-20 is not bad either , about $1600 landed here.
The Burris veracity is another candidate for an ffp.
Also with sika show and Black Friday coming soon watch for some good deal to happen.
I was thinking that, doesn’t make any sense 310mm drop over 100yds.
I tend to agree zero for 200 hold on the backbone at 300 and what ever you’re shooting at is dead.
@Mrfants that doesn’t sound right mate. Even with a 100 zero, most guns aren’t dropping a foot at 200.
What speed are your bullets doing?
My vote is for a simple Mil Dot
Use Mil adjustments and you can alternate with dial up depending how much time you have.
You can even stack dialing plus holdover or make small hold adjustments from shot to shot from a dialed setting.
A simple one is verty flexible by calibre/rifle/environment as long as you have a good range card taped to the butt.
Things to consider when using FFP reticles are:
In a hurry, its hard to count numbers of dots or hashes past about 3 or 4.
At low power like 3-4x you're usually close enough you don't need to hold out.
The reticle marks should be the same units as your dial clicks ie mil/mil or moa/moa.
It's difficult to see fine reticles at low power so my preference is for a thick one up to about 0.2 mils (20mm@100m) whichg is still plenty fine enough for any hunting application.
If you think you'll use an app to calculate each shot then practice and see if you can use it in all conditions.
I haven't used self adjusting scope like the old Burris Eliminator but they could have some merit.
Not many scopes come with simple Mildot these days, especially not in FFP.
I think the Nikko Stirling scopes are one of the few that still do, other than considerably more expensive scopes (Schmidts etc).
The Leupold TMR reticle is another good choice, but not sure it comes in a scope that meets the OPs magnification and price bracket.
I sighted in on a 400m range w an experienced hunter of 40 years. I’m not experienced (obviously).
Here’s the stats:
7mm08 handloads
Zero at 100m
200m 160 mm drop
250m 340 mm drop
300m 530mm drop
Everything was measured and I got a position in my reticle by trial and error.
I was hitting right close to the bulls @ 200m as per photo.
But it’s v different out on a hunt and I don’t want to injure or miss an animal hence my query about a scope with a better reticle for holdover.

Tract Toric or Maven RS1.2 2.5-15x44 are likely going to be your best options in your price range.
A March 3-24x42 would be even better but need to try find used to fit your budget.
Some other options in no particular order are:
Vortex Strike Eagle 3-18x44
Arken 4-16x44
Burris Veracity 3-15x50
Nikko Stirling 4-16x44
You can often find used Delta Styker 4.5-30x56 scopes for crazy cheap prices ($1500-2200), this would be a killer option but probably too big and bulky for what you want.
It sounds like you are doing some longer distance shooting, so the above scopes should all be ok with regard to reticle thickness.
Unfortunately it’s hard to get a lightweight 30mm tube, FFP scope, with a reticle that’s designed for close distance hunting.
With a half decent 140 gn pill @ 3850 fps you should be less than 2 moa low at 200 and less than 5 moa at 300 meters.
