Best Scope with low profile dialling turrets?

Looked into so many scope brands but most the exposed turret options have big high turrets, i own an arken which is good but turrets are high, keen to upgrade my 223 scope but with something with lower profile turrets, mid range around the $1500 range. Considering the meopta range and getting a capped turret version and removing cap to dial. Vortex have low turrets but i just don't like vortex haha. Cheers.

What Vortex model were you considering?

There's a big difference between different Vortex models, so the one you are looking at might be ok.

Or, it'll help narrow down the recommendations.

Wait for a VX5 to pop up here. Normal duplex base models go for $1500 - 1600

Ive got a delta titanium on one of my shooters. It came with two options, either the capped standard turrets or the big exposed ready to dial turrets. Ive left it with the smaller capped turrets and really like it. Its slimline and only takes 3 seconds to take them off to dial if a long range shot is needed.

Yeah well I was going to suggest Vortex...

I've also got a Bushnell Nitro 3-12x44 FFP that has capped but dialable turrets, they are pretty good. Not sure they make them any more though...

Are you after FFP or SFP, and what magnificaiton range?

Ones that come to mind for me are the Burris Signature series and the Meopta Meosport. Nice low profile push/pulllocking turrets. Both SFP and illuminated for about the same price as each other

Burris Signature 2-10 on trade me at moment for a good price. Just a small mounting area on the tube.

I like my VX3 3.5-10 also - nice and light.

Love the Burris but be aware that the ocular housing is thicc and not a lot of real estate for forward and aft adjustment.

This, also seen a few setups where the scope had to be mounted higher than necessary because that huge ocular interfered with the bolt throw. Getting older now but still a few Zeiss DL show up on the second hand market the ASV turret on them is beautiful had one a few years ago and kicked myself for selling it but have just managed to pick up another in 3-12, id love one of the 2-8 also.
You could always just go for the old tried and true vx3

I'm inherently cheap, ground and reshaped bolt handle a bees dick to make it work before buying new Talley's. Not enough to even notice it was done but yeah it was barely scrubbing on the zoom ring.

Prefer the optics on the Burris to the Vx3 personally otherwise would have just swapped it out.

New burris fullfield range seems to have great versatility. Options of standard capped turrets, capped dialable turrets or dialable exposed turrets. These come standard capped with option of getting the upgrade turrets
Hold over reticle and illuminated models make them very versatile Also very affordable with great warranty.
Only downside is that scope body is on the short side and glass won't be top notch but all and all a great option you won't mind dragging through the scrub

You asked for a “best scope”. Heres one:
    Name: IMG_8643.jpeg
Views: 157
Size: 274.6 KB

    Low profile on 30mm tube
    Angled edges for bush bashing.
    Built like the proverbial
Solid clicks, easy to read numbers.
Only 3 mRad adjustment but twill suffice
