    Best Tikka Light weight rings.

Evening Gentlemen. Interested too see what everyone is running for tikka light weight rings.
Currently have a set of optilocks which I've always run. But I am trying to build an ultra light rig so every gram I can save counts. Hear a few guys saying the standard rings with stronger screws are not a bad option. Any input would be much appreciated. Cheers.

Talley rings are best for super lightweight.

Personally I now run rails with pic rings on everything to make life easier.
Like Gkp think the NF rings are very good, expensive though so try buy used ones.

If you are using a rail, contessa rings are extremely light weight and beautifully made.
Guncity stock them or Rivers to Ranges can definitely order them.
Otherwise as already mentioned Talleys are the best lightweight ring/base combo.

Talley’s are about the lightest and best because they are basically one piece and there is less to go wrong.
Do some measurements and get the height that allows the minimum amount of clearance between barrel and objective lense of the scope .
I was sceptical of the Talley’s before I bought some and I’m now a convert/believer

Talley's all the way for a LW ring set. They're well made, easy to set up ( I don't even bother fuckin around lapping nowadays ) still reasonable priced & they work.

Another unsurprising vote for talleys, try get the lows if your scope allows

Extra lows in 1" work with scopes with 40mm objectives perfectly such as the Leupold 3.5-10×40.. The lows are fine too giving about the same height as Optilock ringmounts.

Tellys are great, never had an issue and i hate rails with a passion unless you have a tactical style scope to give a proper cheek rise.

I use extra lows with a 42 mm scope and there is still a couple of mm clearance .
It gives a much nicer cheek position on the stock , there is nothing worse than a low stock and a high scope.

is there a correct way to orientate the talleys
