    That's a nice looking rifle!

If I was looking for another 22, Id be holding out for a BRNO model 1 or 5. They come up occasionally.
    Unsophisticated... AF!

I'm not a massive Tikka fan but the T1X Hunter with the flush mag is a very pretty rifle, expensive for a .22 but i wouldn't mind one!

I will put in a great 22 for the older Remington 541S they are a very nice .22 - come up every now and then- and the pump remingtons same era just work may require some work to put a can on though - most shot very wellName: STEYR-ZEPHYR-II_re_DSC7386-768x139.png

Sako have made some nice .22Lr's. The M78 and P94 pictured above are nice all metal and timber rifles. The later models (post 94 Quad and Finnfire) have a bit of polymer in them but are still high quality and shoot well.
The Lithgow 101's shoot well, but are a heavier cross over range and field designs.
Look out for rimfires from Cooper and Kimber.

Rimfirecentral is a good forum for this discussion topic.
CZ and Brno are Ok but boring.

The CZ 457 is also available in man size configuations but can be a bit of a barrel lottery.
I have no experience with the 77/22 but I have a 77/17 varmint which is very accurate, under 0.75" 10 shot 100yd groups on a calm day, about on par with my Anschutz 1517.

I do like my Norinco EM-332... good heft and proportions, although a bit scarce on the used market these days.

    Found one

Had another one a few years ago, now only sold it to help finance a Barrett M107-A1

I have a Mauser M201, worth buying if you can find one. Had an anschutz 1517 which had to go back for a visit due to accuracy issues. It was sorted and shot very well but its a small rifle, too small for my liking.I sold it for a Weihrauch which is a better rifle all round, better trigger, better action and better precision . Its a full sized rifle with a heavy barrel . I'm now using a steyr zephyr II which is also full sized but lighter. I like the stock on the steyr and the weight and balance but the engineering is better on the Weihrauch at every point.
If i was to buy another it would be this one.

I just bought a Weirauch HW66. I'm loving it so far, a little heavy but not too bad.
The CZ 457 Americans are nice and light but the weirauch hog back stock feels nicer to shoot with
