I have no experience with the 77/22 but I have a 77/17 varmint which is very accurate, under 0.75" 10 shot 100yd groups on a calm day, about on par with my Anschutz 1517.

Mine has been awesome over the 30 years I have owned it. I have personally never met anyone who had actually owned a 77/22 and sold it be because of its "accuracy issues" .

It's usually one of the last guns their owners say they would sell.

Hey Allen, very nice. Have you heard of any further trigger upgrade talk for the LA101s, a true match trigger would take them "next level".

My further thoughts on this, the current (last 10 years ? Hammer rifled) Ruger barrels can be superbly accurate, and the smoothest 22 we tested from everything on the rack one day was a SS Ruger American varmint. I bought it and it did indeed shoot pretty well, the Americans bedding makes it difficult to get precise and repeatable bedding though. A further personal dislike I have for the ruger 10 shot mag is its width, rifles built with them just don't carry as nicely as those built around a narrower action style.

Sorry, No and that's a shame really. I had an LA101 "customized" for my wife back in 2015. That rifle wears a Maddco and has fired thousands of rounds without incident. With good lot numbers of ammo, it can pretty much run with any of the repeaters I've had built in recent years.
I know not everyone shares my view, but I rate the LA101 action very highly.

Looks like stunning wood in the photo with the bunnies. These are some of the nicest rifles to be produced IMHO. I am trying to get the four-some, I have the 1422 (.22), 1432 (22 H), 1532 (.222) I just need the .22 magnum (1522). Anyone wanting to part with a 1522 with a rollover cheek piece.....I would love to hear from you.
