    Big F-Off gun case

Hey chaps, im on the look out for an extra large hard case, needs to be atleast 60" internal length and 15" minimum width wise.

Does anyone know where one might purchase one or is there one laying about in someone's wardrobe that i could buy?

Need it within a fortnight which might be a bit tight but i dont think air nz would be happy with half a gun sticking out

    Cheers guys

I could smuggle my wife in a case that size and still have room for a box of Cody's.

Build one out of ply. Let me know if you want a hand.

I have one I thought was large but I think it is 54 inches by 14.....And it barely, (and I mean I have to put the front seat forward) - barely fits in my SUV.....(It is a vitara though....)

You're going to struggle (if not impossible) to find an off the shelf gun case that will suite your required length.
The longest Pelican make I think is the 1770 which is rated at 54.5" internal.

I have a Plano (poor man's Pelican) which is around 1320 mm (52") internal and a Flambeau at 1300 mm.
The only way I can get my F Class rifles to fit in the Plano is to remove (easy) the adjustable butt plates.

The Plano is a pain and when I had a twin cab the easiest place to stow it was lengthwise in the back. Easiest place to open it as well. I rarely use it and go with a large gun bag for day outings.

Both my Plano and the Pelican 1770 are monsters with wheels (you need them) and breather valves for air travel.

15" minimum width wise!!!!!!!! is your bipod stuck in extended mode????
whip one up out of plywood.....thats going to be as others have pointed out,a right pain in arse to cart around...Im picturing you at present travelling around in wagon with 3 foot of barrel with hory great muzzle brak attached sticking out rear window as you drive down motorway and all the FrankenKarenmums frantically swirving aside and speeddialing the fuzz to report you....
