    bino repair

    Hi All,made the mistake of taking my binos near the beach and now they are sandy when operating focus knob.
    Anyone around who can fix them?

    Wilhelms scopes and optics is the only person I know of in NZ that does that sort of thing
    be polite when you talk to him, he is a bit easy to piss off
    fixes my binos every time I get fogging issues

    There’s a camera repair shop in Timaru that probably deal with other optics too. Also a bloke in Wellington, I believe.

    (Very specific, I know..)

    @StrikerNZ that's the camera optics shop in Timaru which was closed down after the 60+ year-old owner went off the rails on meth-amphetamine.

    The guy owed people all over the country as he never did any complete repairs, just asked for a deposit first and then more money to 'complete the repair' but spent it all on 'P'.

    He lost everything...

    Different shop to that one. Don’t think he did much in the way of repairs, more in the camera and telescope retail business.
