    Bipod

    https://www.deltamike.co.nz/product/...sling-stud-qd/

Looking at getting one of these. Seem to be ok and cheaper than the backlanz etc.

Is the sling swivel hookup secure enough or should I go for a picatinny rail?

The picatinny looks like you need a allen key to take on and off.

    Anyone using these bipods?

Better off with something else IMO.
If that is your budget, stick with Harris.

I run Harris on my hunting rigs.
MDT and Accu-Tac on my target/PRS style guns.

Oh yes, I see they're known to be a bit wobbly of leg.

What's best for range/hunting out of atlas, backlanz and mtn gear?

I don't think there is a "best". They all work. There's a large dose of personal preference.

A lot of people like the MTN Gear for high adjustability and light weight.

I prefer the Atlas for the slightly heavier weight, as it means the rifle balances better for shooting over a bag when the bipod isn't able to be used (which, for me, can be a frequently). But I am not really doing big backcountry walking trophy hunting trips these days.

It might be worth looking at the Hardy bipod for similar money - I've got one and can't fault it.

NZ made is a bonus for me also.

For $100 less, you can have an MDT Oryx https://ammodirect.co.nz/online-shop...el-stud-black/

Picatinny and ARCA are more sturdy and mechanically superior ways of attaching bipods, providing you can fit the rail securely.
