The alternative stock your referring to is a "senator" item I assume. I discovered this myself after I received my Christensen stockOh my shit happens & the stock is very, very nice. How much weight did you save by going carbon wrapped barrel? Like you I think the R8 is over weight so built a R93 with carbon stock, fluted barrel, 2.5-25 march scope & aftermarket scope mount. I might look at adding some carbon wrapped barrel's if the weight saving is worthwhile.
